Budget Skips has been operating throughout Stratford-upon-Avon, the Vale of Evesham and the North Cotswolds for many years. Originally, virtually all waste placed in skips was taken to landfill.

However, in 2000, Budget Skips was taken over by H T Waste Recycling, but kept the trading name of Budget Skips. Following this, the company moved to new, larger premises where they were able to invest in new equipment and set up a waste transfer centre in order to substantially reduce the amount of waste taken to landfill sites and reduce Budget's impact on the environment.

To help achieve this, Budget Skips invested in the latest lorries and skip loading equipment, which allow more skips to be carried per lorry and therefore reduce the impact of the lorries within the local environment. This also helped the company, improving its efficiency greatly.

Within the waste transfer station itself, there has been substantial investment in new waste handling equipment. For example, in 2004, Budget Skips expanded their site by another three quarters of an acre to allow them to process soil and hardcore. They now treat around 150 tonnes of hardcore and soil per day.

Budget Skips continue to invest in the latest equipment and technology and currently recycle over 70% of all waste received on site. They hope to achieve a figure of 90% recycling in the near future.
